HOW IS HATCHUB DIFFERENT THAN ACCELERATORS/INCUBATORS?


The "accelerator/incubator" aspect is just one of the components of Hatchub - and we use the term loosely. Hatchub isn't just about helping founders expand an idea/product that is already established. Our goal is to connect innovators and learners from around the world and train them on how to use their diverse talents in teams to create world-changing products. We provide guidance and assistance at each step of the process. Our members are not obligated to create/work on a business; (ex. they can choose for themselves whether or not they want to be an innovator or just a learner - or an innovator & a learner - members have full flexibility to utilize any of our offerings when they decide it is best for them to do so). We aren't bound to a certain timeframe or location.




WHAT'S THE TIME COMMITMENT?


There are no mandatory sessions at Hatchub for innovators. You may choose to engage in a project and form a team at any time. If you want to be eligible to participate in showcase events, you must be an active participant in our community by creating projects with other members. Learners must attend all appropriate sessions (the times will be determined by the instructors).




WHAT IF MY BUSINESS BECOMESS SUCCESSFUL/I WANT TO WORK FOR A COMPANY OUTSIDE OF HATCHUB? DO I RESCIND MY HATCHUB MEMBERSHIP?


If your business should become successful or you want to only work for a company outside of Hatchub, we hope that you will consider becoming a Hatchub advisor to continue to share your expertise with our learners/next generation of founders.




HOW MUCH DOES THE PROGRAM COST?


There is a small membership fee. In addition, there will be in-app subscription costs to access advanced features. There are discounted fees for members to attend events. Accepted individuals can apply for need-based scholarships.




WHAT'S IN HATCHUB'S FUTURE?


We will establish physical co-working spaces (hubs) around the world to further facilitate collaborative innovation & learning for our entrepreneurs & learners. Hatchub will bring the Bay Area to you - there will be periodic pitch events, learning opportunities, meetups, and visiting mentors, investors, etc. (And that's not all)




ARE THERE UNIVERSITY STUDENT PARTNERS?


Yes, Hatchub will select current members from universities all over the world to recruit the most driven emerging innovators.




DO MY TEAMMATES HAVE TO BE HATCHUB MEMBERS?


No, your teammates do not have to be Hatchub members. Your team will still be eligible to apply for funding. Your non-Hatchub teammates won't receive most of the other Hatchub membership perks.
